Welcome!

This site is for current Commodore Sloat School families, as well as those of you who are thinking about sending your child to Sloat.

Commodore Sloat School is a wonderful school with all the warmth and family feeling of a small school, yet large enough for a truly diverse population.

Sloat has three kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade classes, and two 4th and 5th grade classes. Sloat 4th and 5th graders split their time between two classrooms: One for math and science and the other for language arts and social studies. This program allows the teachers to focus on their core competencies, and the students to ready themselves for a middle school academic environment.

In addition to academics, Sloat students enjoy a variety of enrichment programs such as art, choral music, poetry, theater, PE, and an amazing learning garden. One of Sloat's greatest assets is its dedicated parent community who help make this enrichment possible.

Browse our site for more information on what's going on at Sloat. See you at school!
